Walk. Give. Change the world.

I just signed up for the Naperville Area CROP Hunger Walk. I want to raise money and awareness of hungry families along with my church and other churches. As a follower of Jesus Christ, I  remember, in  Jesus’ parable of the final judgment day, the king said to those being judged, “Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.” Matthew 25:40. My faith calls me to help feed the hungry.

Through the CROP Hunger Walk, I help hungry families through the Naperville/DuPage Loaves and Fishes Community Center, the Northern Illinois Food Bank, and the ecumenical Church World Service. In addition to supplying emergency food, our donations to Church World Service supplies long-term help by digging wells, providing farm animals, and building homes and schools. In Haiti,  CROP has built homes and schools that have survived earthquakes and hurricanes. This year, our donations will help resettle Ukraine and Afghan refugees. The need is great.
