The Harrisburg CROP Hunger Walk has been postponed until 2024. If you would like to support the work of CWS in your own local community of Harrisburg, please consider participating in CWS Harrisburg’s 2nd Annual International Friendsgiving To-Go Feast will take place with pickups on either the West or East Shore on Saturday, November 18 from 4-6 PM.Celebrate the cultures of Afghanistan, Central African Republic, Pakistan, Syria, and Ukraine through a delicious to-go meal while learning about the recipe creators’ cultures.

“Friends Eat Together” is a great way to gather for a group meal and watch our specially curated set cultural education links, videos, and other information. Meals of 50 or more are discounted.

More than a fundraiser, this event will help engender more conversation around justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion in our region.

This event, hosted by CWS Harrisburg's Community Engagement Team, is inspired by five women refugees living in the Harrisburg region enrolled in CWS Marketplace. This program grows the economic empowerment of these women who serve as head-of-household without income, transportation, community, and a creative outlet. Income from this event will directly support CWS clients’ needs not otherwise covered by other funding streams, including advanced medical care and accessible housing for those who need help the most.
