Ames CROP Hunger Walk

About Ames CROP Hunger Walk

No one in this world should be hungry. That's why the CROP Hunger Walk is more than just a gathering of people in a place. We're part of a movement, taking steps and raising funds together to provide meals for those in our own community who need them - and supporting programs that create greater food security in communities all around the world.

Our walk supports CWS projects around the world and seven in Story County (Bethesda Food Pantry; Food at First; Good Neighbor Emergency Assistance; Huxley Food Shelf; Loaves and Fishes; Mid-Iowa Community Action; and Students Helping Our Peers). Walkers are encouraged, but not required, to make a donation.

At Ada Hayden, walkers can choose to walk a short (1 mile) loop or a longer (3 miles) walk around the entire lake. Either way, we walk to remember those who have to walk long distances to access clean water and healthy food.

Please join us in the fight against hunger. The steps we take and funds we raise will make a difference in the lives of others.
