No one in this world should be hungry. That's why the CROP Hunger Walk is more than just a gathering of people in a place. Were part of a movement, taking steps and raising funds together to provide meals for those in our own community who need them - and supporting programs that create greater food security in communities all around the world.
Join us at Trinity Lutheran Church, Kalamazoo, MI. The walk will start at 2PM.
We will have 1.1 and 3.1 mile walk options through downtown Kalamazoo.
This year our Honorary Chair is Jessica Harthorn, Evening News Anchor at WWMT, channel 3.
In addition to supporting CWS food programs internationally, the Kalamazoo Valley Crop Walk benefits Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes.
In 2025, Loaves and Fishes received nearly $5,500 from Church World Service and last year's CROP Hunger Walk. These funds help support the purchasing of food items that supply 10 pantry locations within Kalamazoo County. Altogether, Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes and their community partners distributed food from 111 locations in 2025. Purchased food also benefits Loaves and Fishes' other programs like Weekend Food Packs for kids, School-based pantries, and their Targeted Outreach, which largely helps unhoused individuals.
This year, the our fundraising goal is $25,000, of which 25% will benefit Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes. We will be updating this page with the amount raised, through online and other donations.
Please join us in the fight against hunger. The steps we take and funds we raise will make a difference in the lives of others.
