Great Prairie Trail CROP Hunger Walk

About Great Prairie Trail CROP Hunger Walk

Reach for the Stars, Walk for Our Neighbors

The 2026 Great Prairie Trail CROP Hunger Walk honors the life and legacy of Terry Witt, a longtime supporter of the walk, educator, astronomer, cyclist, and person of deep faith.

Terry spent his life looking toward the stars—studying astronomy, teaching generations of students, traveling to witness solar eclipses, and sharing his wonder of the universe with others.

At the same time, he never lost sight of the needs of people right here on Earth. Through his generosity, faith, and commitment to service, Terry supported efforts to fight hunger and care for neighbors both locally and around the world.

Together we can honor and celebrate that spirit: dreaming big, looking beyond ourselves, and taking meaningful action to make a difference.
