2026 CROP Hunger Walk

Join Us for the 46th Annual New Bern Area CROP Hunger Walk!

You’re invited to be part of the 46th Annual New Bern Area CROP Hunger Walk on Sunday, September 27th at Union Point Park in New Bern, NC.

This year’s walk will raise funds to address the nutritional and developmental needs of our neighbors in New Bern and around the globe. Faith Connection is the host partner for the New Bern Area CROP Hunger Walk, an outreach of Church World Service. Locally, Religious Community Services (RCS) will receive 25% of the proceeds.

Last year, more than 500 walkers raised over $60,000 to fight food insecurity — and we hope to make an even bigger impact this year!

Participants can choose between a 3.1-mile walk or a 1-mile walk, and the event will include music and refreshments. Bring your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers to this fun, family-friendly event with activities for all ages.

Preparing for the Walk:
• Register and set up your team page online so you don’t have to handle cash and checks.
• Set your fundraising goal and recruit walkers and sponsors to support you.
• Team Leaders may pick up promotional materials on any of the following Mondays:
   • Monday, August 3 – 5:30 PM
   • Monday, August 10 – 5:30 PM
   • Monday, August 17 – 5:30 PM

Please choose the date that works best for your schedule.

Walk Day:
• Registration for teams and individuals begins at 2:00 pm.
• Step off is at 3:00 pm.
• Take pictures and videos about why you walk and share them on social media using #Endhungernow and #NewBernCROPWalk.
• Follow us on Facebook. Please like and share our posts.

Instructions for Walk Donations:
• Please encourage walkers to donate online whenever possible so you don’t have to handle cash or checks.
• For walkers who prefer to write a check, please make all checks payable to CWS/CROP.
• Checks may be brought to the walk or mailed to:

• If you receive cash donations, please keep careful track of the walkers who gave them so they can receive proper credit from the treasurer.
• Convert all cash donations into a money order payable to CWS/CROP and include it in your report to the Walk Treasurer.
