No one in this world should be hungry. That's why the CROP Hunger Walk is more than just a gathering of people in a place. We're part of a movement, taking steps and raising funds together to provide meals for those in our own community who need them - and supporting programs that create greater food security in communities all around the world.
The 45th annual CROP Hunger Walk in Albany, now known as the John U Miller Memorial CROP Hunger Walk, took place on Sunday, May 4, with all three of Rev. Miller's daughters carrying the banner. They were joined by Honorary Chair Christina Arangio, morning anchor on News10 ABC. Over 200 walkers braved the rain to take steps to end hunger at home and abroad.
As of June 4, our total income has reached $98,448, still a long way from our goal of $104,500.
Please try to get all checks and cash to the CACC office by June 9; on-line gifts may be made until the end of June.
Since some teams & individuals will be walking later this month, donations will be accepted until June 9.
Checks should be made out CWS/CROP and mailed to the Capital Area Council of Churches (CACC) office
at 110 N Pearl S., Albany NY 12207. Walkers can still register & post donations on this website, as well.
For more information, contact CACC at (518) 462-5450.
