Join us for the 48th Arlington CROP Hunger Walk (ACHW) & help fight hunger worldwide through CWS & locally through Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC). It's a critical year to support the ACHW. Huge government program cuts have devastated CWS' ability to support global food programs. With the government cuts and more people seeking help, AFAC also faces a serious budget shortfall.
CROP Hunger Walks alone cannot make up the difference, but they are a major source of support through the donations of Walkers and their sponsors. So let's get walking!
Join a team or sponsor a Walker with a donation. Walkers will take a 6K route around the Ballston and Virginia Square areas. Check-in starts: 8AM. Brief remarks: 8:40AM. Walk starts: 9AM. rain or shine. Snacks & rest rooms at the mid-point at Saint George's Episcopal.
This year, we are partnering with NOVA Friends of Refugees, which is doing a Halloween Costume drive for refugee children. For refugee families, costumes can be a luxury they can't afford. Walkers are encouraged to donate a new or gently used costume (all sizes) at the check-in. CROP Walks aid food programs for refugees in many countries.
Thank you, everyone! The ACHW team is grateful for how Arlingtonians come though year after year.
