Chicago CROP Hunger Walk

About Chicago CROP Hunger Walk

Our 43rd Annual Walk is set for Sunday, October 19, since the need is as much as ever. We will again have a Family Fun Fest from 12:00 to 1:30 with inside and outside options. Kick-off ceremony starts at 1:30. Then our 5K Walk or 1M Golden Mile options have new routes through the Illinois Medical District and Tri-Taylor.

We share 25% of funds for local hunger and poverty relief with these four local grant partners:
• Episcopal Diocese of Chicago Hunger Committee (city-wide)
• A Just Harvest (north side)
• St. Thomas Feeding Ministry (south side)
• Hope's Table Chicago (downtown)
The remaining 75% goes to national and global relief with Church World Service.

In memory of Fran Horn, beloved Chicago CROP Hunger Walk Planning Committee and Episcopal Hunger Committee Member for 20+ years on behalf of St. James Episcopal Cathedral, we dedicate our 2025 Walk to her never-ending faith, dedication, and spirit. Join her team c/o St. James.

We thank our on-going site sponsor First Immanuel Lutheran Church for hosting us again since 2019 in a central location with wonderful facilities!

Our Team Leaders Rally was Saturday, Sept. 6 from 10:30-11:30. You may still receive Walk details and materials and be inspired to "walk the Walk" with one-on-one or group sessions, according to your preferred location, timing and method.

Thanks to our $3,500 Chicago Temple Fund grant, all donors of any amount get a $25 bonus and donors at $150 or more get another $25 bonus and a free event umbrella. Bonuses count towards your individual and team goals, as entered by your team leader! See our website and flyer below for more details, including the full list of sponsors and supporters.

Visit our website and get on our mailing list ~ we welcome volunteers and support at any level.
