About Niles/Park Ridge CROP Hunger Walk

Celebrating its 34th year, the Niles Park Ridge CROP Hunger Walk is a bright, interfaith celebration of communities coming together to end hunger. From the first step to the final mile, this collective effort has raised nearly $1,000,000 for Church World Service, with 25% of every gift returned to Maine Township Food Pantry to support local families in need.

Event highlights:
-Registration opens at 1:15 p.m.; step off at 2:00 p.m.
-Distance: approximately 5k (about 3.1 miles)
-Start/finish: Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church
-Rest stop: St. Luke's Lutheran Church
-Snacks and water provided for all walkers
-Fund distribution: 75% to Church World Service to fund programs addressing displacement, disaster, hunger, and poverty in more than 36 countries; 25% to Maine Township to fight hunger locally
