2025 CROP Hunger Walk supporting CWS

I want to help end hunger locally and around the world.
The annual Winston-Salem Forsyth County CROP Hunger Walk is this Sunday, October 19 in downtown Winston-Salem. Temple Emanuel has been an active participant for over 25 years and we raised over $2500 in 2023 and 2024. Over $95, 000 was raised by our 2024 Forsyth CROP Walk! This year more than ever, families in our county are lacking resources to provide their families with nutritious food. Over 16% of children and 22% of families right here in our county suffer from food insecurity and are unable to provide adequate nutrition to help promote good physical and mental health. 25% the of funds raised by our community for or annual CROP Walk stay right here in Forsyth County and go to the food distribution programs of Crisis Control Ministry and Samaritan Ministries to help provide nutritious meals to our fellow citizens in need. The remainder of funds raised is used by Church World Service to help alleviate hunger in the US and around the world. They sponsor programs that teach communities how to insure clean water, grow nutritious food and raise farm animals for milk, food and trade to help create economic stability.
.Please consider a tax deductible donation to the Forsyth CROP Walk this year to help our neighbors near and far have healthy and productive lives. There is a link at the bottom of this email telling you how you can donate and join Team Temple Emanuel WS for the walk on Sunday,
