Ashfield UCC

Walk. Give. Change the world.

Once again team Ashfield UCC, as part of the Franklin County CROP Hunger Walk, is joining the nationwide Crop Hunger Walks in the fight against hunger.

Why support the Crop Hunger Walk? Because you want to help families locally and abroad who are struggling with hunger.

According to the FAO worldwide between 702 and 828 million people were affected by hunger in 2021. 46 million more than in the previous year. According to the World Food Program, 345 million people in 82 countries are in danger of dying due to insufficient food. Extreme weather, wars, the pandemic, and high inflation are all creating havoc with people’s access to adequate food. This is intolerable.

A quarter of the money we raise will be returned to Franklin County, including to our church's Food Pantry. The number of local families concerned about where they will find their next meal has increased greatly.
