2024 CROP Hunger Walk supporting CWS

Dear Friends and Family,
Our family is once again supporting CROP in remembrance of Lee Empie, JR, who, with dogged determination, participated in this fundraiser in his later years, after retiring from the family dairy farm. This year is the 5th anniversary of his death and we are asking for your support to raise money for Schoharie County and hunger around the world.
Many of you have supported this cause, by sponsoring him, for years and when he passed in 2019, we made it a part of his ongoing legacy to continue to raise funds for this worthy cause. Thank you for continuing to do so.
Our greater family has been rooted in Schoharie County since before the 1840's, and many continue to live there today. Lee spent all his 93 years there, where he grew up with 6 brothers and sisters; all proud of their heritage and the Christian values they have passed down to future generations. One of those values was caring for their neighbors and helping the hungry.
CROP is a part of the Church World Service. They have a 100% rating on Charity Navigators, an organization that rates non-profits on the efficiency of their fund-raising efforts. It is an organization that 'spends' less to raise more."
We hope you will join us and support, once again, or for the first time, to fight this world-wide problem. As always, 25% of the funds raised stay within the county itself.
Blessings,
Team Empie
