CROP Hunger Trek supporting CWS

I believe that hunger has become a bigger concern and I support CWS/CROP as a way to offer a Hand Up and not just a Hand Out.
I have walked in the CROP Hunger Walk for 34 years as a family alongside my wife and daughters, beginning when our youngest was still in a stroller. I have walked all these years as hunger and food insufficiency are one of my major concerns, both in our local community and throughout the world. I have seen others in my life impacted by the need for food security support from local food organizations and knowing that CROP Hunger Walk funds support these agencies is just one way I can make a difference. Jesus Christ taught that we should feed the hungry.
I often feel closest to God when experiencing nature in all it’s beauty. Carlene and I are walking in the CROP Hunger Trek in the Grand Canyon this Palm Sunday, a time that I hope to use as a spiritual journey and allow me to grow closer to God, while making a difference on an issue so important to me. It will be awesome to hike into the Grand Canyon, experiencing God’s vast creation while simultaneously doing the Christian work of helping feed the hungry. 100% of your donation goes to CWS and their mission of proving for those facing hunger, poverty, disaster, and displacement (we have covered travel costs ourselves).
Please join me in supporting this life-changing cause as I Trek to help provide enough for all by donating to my fundraiser today and may God Bless You!

This is Carlene's and my Hunger Trek. We hiked down the Bright Angel Trail. We started at an elevation of 6791 feet and descended to 4106 feet. The steepness of the trail was even greater than we anticipated. We felt that going down was much more difficult for us. Many, many steps where some of them were higher than comfortable. But our satisfaction upon completing was astounding.
